I wanted to see how they concluded the story, that was all, and it was. I still played it, only for the story, I cheated in that game in order to not have to deal with all its BS. Anyways, the moment I heard, "You don't have to collect resources anymore" in the first trailer I watched about it, I was immediately turned off. I will say much about the game that shall not be named, so it was originally intended to be a mobile game and EA was like let's make this the final game, since the studio making it shutdown or something like that can't remember. I never really played Red Alert 1 much, mainly RA2 and Retaliation which was on PlayStation. I enjoyed the futuristic world of Dawn and Twilight. To me this wasn't really something I wanted to see in a C&C game. Simply put, it had a lot of influence for terrorism due to 9/11. I do find it was a decent idea trying to start another C&C universe, but Generals was based more in the modern world. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Generals and a lot of people love it. IMO, Generals wasn't that good, it didn't feel like C&C to me, and I think the main reason it didn't was because it had no FMVs, which was a terrible idea.
